I am a psychology teacher and I once saw an episode of the Simpsons where
Homer was admitted to a psychiatric hospital where he met someone who
claimed to be Michael Jackson. Does anyone know what the episode was
called, what series it was in?

That episode was titled "Stark Raving Dad" and it was the first episode of
Season 3 (original airdate: 19/9/1991)
